User Reviews: The books are all much better than the movies. However, I found the first movie enjoyable, and it introduced me to Lene Kaaberbøl’s excellent writing, both her books for children & adults. The second movie is pretty bad. The script is so weak that I can’t see the actors had much to work with. Worth watching for the gorgeous scenery and the excellent acting of Rebecca Emilie Sattrup, who plays the leading role of Dina. But definitely read the books. As mentioned in the first review, they skipped the second book, and with this extremely simplified second installment, you could say they skipped the third books as well!
