User Reviews: Creating a sequel after a smash hit has a lot of pressure on your hands. Will it be good? Will critics or the public agree? What made the first film good? This film isn’t as good as the first but is still not bad.
Taking place in the same night as the first, Michael is on the hunt again, this time targeting a hospital where Laurie Strode is being taken in after a wound.
This film has a semi-fast pace and has a greater kill count. It’s a typical sequel. But this film was a powerhouse, there was more to be found and there was nothing stopping Sam Loomis and Michael Myers to getting to their destination as soon as possible. And the tone kept you guessing when he’d come back, especially because it is almost constantly dark.
The negative side of this film is that it’s kinda boring. The sequences for Loomis and Myers were at times too long and we needed a break from getting too deep into finding each other.
Quick review, decent film, cool tones.
Moderate nudity(for a bathtub scene), gore, and brief language
