A journey through Mongolia, Japan, China and South Korea, narrated by the journals of Finnish linguist, diplomat and journeyman G.J. Ramstedt (1873-1950).
User Reviews: This film has outstanding landscape cinematography and its narrative seems captivating the first few minutes. After a little while though, the movie becomes quite slow and we start to lose interest and the ability to focus on it’s topic. It shows powerful contrast through its images and it touches some interesting topics through its narration, but ultimately manages to confuse its viewer instead of having him come out of the theater wiser and more well-informed.
