47 Meters Down: Uncaged follows the diving adventure of four teenage girls (Sophie Nélisse, Corinne Foxx, Brianne Tju and Sistine Stallone) exploring a submerged Mayan City. Once inside, their rush of excitement turns into a jolt of terror as they discover the sunken ruins are a hunting ground for deadly Great White Sharks. With their air supply steadily dwindling, the friends must navigate the underwater labyrinth of claustrophobic caves and eerie tunnels in search of a way out of their watery hell.

User Reviews: Just saw a matinee. The movie is much better than the original. Aside from venturing in the cave (which one could chalk up to careless curiosity), the characters don’t make any dumb moves. The suspense in the film starts off within the first ten minutes and really never lets up.
There were many shots where the camera would pan around the dark water. This really put the viewers in the shoes of the characters and made you feel like you were actually underwater, desperately anticipating an attack. The fact that you couldn’t see more than a few feet in front of you really made the movie suspenseful. The acting was actually really good, and I liked all of the characters.
To top it all off, the plot was never boring. Definitely recommend.
